Sharon McKeown is a visual artist based in Belfast. Working semi-abstractly, she explores the concept of series through the repetition of shape and form. By playing with the positives and negatives of collage,
successive ideas unfold oneirically, creating intimate narratives.
McKeown graduated from Ulster University, Belfast (2018) with a BFA(Hons) in Fine Art. In addition to her
degree, she studied at Saimaa University of Applied Sciences, Finland (2017) where she had her first solo show Unknown Ventures. She is a member of The Drawing Journal, a collaborative art project investigating the materiality of and relationship between text and drawing.
